With the broadening horizons and merging of entertainment industries, Bollywood celebrities are trying their best to reach out to a larger audience. They aren’t shying away from working in regional language movies that are loved by the viewers. After impressing the audience with his versatile acting and grit to perform, actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to make his debut in the Tamil entertainment industry. The actor will be seen in Thalapathy 67 opposite Vijay.

The makers of the movie took to social media to announce his debut. Taking to Twitter, Seven Screen Studio shared an image of Dutt and penned a welcoming message for the superstar. They wrote, “We feel esteemed to welcome @duttsanjay sir to Tamil Cinema and we are happy to announce that he is a part of #Thalapathy67.” The image also had his quote where he expressed that after listening to the one line concept of the movie, he knew, he had to be a part of it. The image quoted him saying, “When I heard the one liner of Thalapathy 67, I knew in that exact moment that I had to be a part of this film and I’m thrilled to start this journey.” Apart from Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt has made a name for himself in Sandalwood, also known as the Kannada film industry, with movies like KGF: Chapter 2 and KD - The Devil. The 63-year-old had opened up about working in the south industry during the launch of the title teaser of KD - The Devil. He had said, “I wish the team all the best. I also feel that I am going to work more in south Indian films. I know one thing that I have done KGF and SS Rajamouli sir is a dear friend. I see so much passion, love, energy, and heroism in the films made in the South. I think we need to learn that back in Mumbai. Bollywood must not forget its roots.”

Watching the actor on the big-screen alongside Vijay, will surely be a treat for the fans.
